Terms of use
Last updated 29 October 2026. By using Barabar you agree to these terms. If you don’t, don’t use the app.
What Barabar is
Barabar is a marketplace. It connects people who want a ride with independent drivers who want to give one. Barabar is not a transport company, does not employ drivers, does not set fares and does not take part in the ride. The agreement for each ride is between the rider and the driver. The rider pays the driver directly.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. Drivers must hold a valid Pakistani driving licence for their vehicle, keep the vehicle roadworthy and insured as the law requires, and upload true documents. Lying about any of this ends your account.
Fares and payment
The rider offers a fare. A driver may accept it or counter with another amount. A ride exists only when both have agreed on a price in the app. The rider pays that amount to the driver in cash when the ride ends. Barabar takes no commission and never holds fare money. Any dispute about a fare is between the rider and the driver, though you can report the other person in the app and we will act on patterns of abuse.
Passes and balance
Drivers pay for time online by buying a day or 7-day pass from their Barabar balance. Balance is topped up through Safepay. Balance is not money: it can only be spent on passes, it can’t be withdrawn or transferred, and it’s forfeited when an account is deleted or closed for breaking these terms. Passes are not refundable once started. Free launch days are a gift and can end at any time for new sign-ups.
Behaviour
Both sides must be honest and decent. No harassment, no discrimination, no dangerous driving, no asking for more than the agreed fare, no sharing or misusing anyone’s phone number, no fake accounts, no cheating the referral programme. We can suspend or delete an account for any of these, with or without notice. Accounts are also paused automatically after three independent reports or a sustained low rating, until we review them.
Safety
Barabar verifies driver documents at sign-up but can’t guarantee anyone’s conduct. Use the in-app tools: check the plate and photo before you get in, share your trip, and use SOS if you’re in danger. In an emergency call 15 or 1122 first.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Barabar is provided as is, and Owais Builds is not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from a ride or from using the app, including from a driver’s or rider’s actions, missed rides, inaccurate maps or fares, or downtime. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited under Pakistani law.
Changes and ending
We may change these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Continuing to use Barabar after a change means you accept it. You can delete your account at any time from the app.
